Rowan Holiday Cottage Sleights nr Whitby

Rowan Cottage is a three bedroomed cottage, sleeping up to six people and offering beautiful views over the delightful Esk Valley. The cottage sits within the beautiful village of Sleights, nestled between the seaside town of Whitby, and the ever changing North Yorkshire Moors.

The cottage offers a perfect base for exploring the area, and is well connected by road, bus and rail. We can offer weekly and customisable short breaks throughout the year.

We are fully equipped and include extras such as dishwasher, washing machine, drier, freezer, microwave, lcd freeview, WiFi connection, real fire and fuel and linen for the house included. In the garden we also provide a barbecue and dining table and chairs.
The house is recently refurbished to a high standard throughout.

The area around the property offers plenty of opportunities for any kind of holiday. Walkers will find the coastal paths and North York Moors offer a variety of walking conditions and extensive routes to choose from.

Those looking for beaches will find the Whitby, Scarborough, Ravenscar and other beaches are pristine and extensive, and offer rock pooling and sand alike.

There are many tourist attractions nearby, Whitby is only a five minute drive away and has its historic port, quaint shops and places to eat and drink.

Sleights itself is well catered for, with three pubs, a baker, butcher, post office and general store, not to mention fish and chips and garden centre.

Our ethical policy is to aim to be responsible to the environment. To that end we have solar panels to partly power our electricity, we offer you recycling facilities beyond the usual kerbside ones, and we endeavour to offer information on local and fair trade food outlets. Within the cottage, where feasible we use environmentally friendly cleaning materials.
