Situated in the small peaceful village of Sandhead, only 30 metres from a beautiful, sandy beach. The Auld School House is fortunate to have uninterrupted views of Sandhead family friendly beach, Luce Bay and the Galloway Hills beyond.
The Auld School House was completely renovated in 2006 to provide very high quality self catering rental holiday accommodation here in the Mull of Galloway, South West Scotland and has been awarded 4 stars (excellent) by Visit Scotland.
Sandhead is the ideal choice for a family friendly holiday as the village boasts a popular pub / restaurant, a well stocked village shop and a children's playpark on the beach front, all within two minutes walk from the Auld School House family friendly holiday house.
There are not many holiday beach rental houses in the UK, and this one is so luxurious and such fun for family holidays that it is almost unique.
The beach is just 30 yards away across a very quiet road and and is surrounded by pure, Galloway fresh air. There is ample parking for 2 cars, the Gardens , both front and rear are enclosed and we have an additional private garden on the beach, and due to the Gulf Stream, the climate here is warm enough for palm trees to grow and we have some in the garden. There is garden furniture in the back and a barbeque.

Master Double Bedroom
The master bedroom is very spacious and elegant with additional single bed that has an extra pull out bed, so up to 4 can sleep in this bedroom if required.
Double Bedroom
This bedroom has such a lovely view across Sandhead Beach, the sun rises bringing morning light into this large comfortable bedroom. Enjoy your holiday. Dumfries and Galloway has so much to offer for and active, healthy outdoors holiday..

This is a great 'den' for the children, plenty of wardrobe space and two comfortable single beds.

There is a comfortable Lounge with an open fire, leather sofas, television DVD player and stereo.
Dining Room
With a large wooden dining table with plenty of room for six, with views overlooking the beach, but remember, you are just 1 minute stroll away from one of the best places to eat in this area of Dumfries and Galloway.
Kitchen
Is very well equipped and spacious, with an electric cooker with a double oven, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and a small breakfast table.
Utility Room
With a washing machine, dryer and plenty of drying room to keep everything clean.
