Shaw Farm Holidays Static Caravan Site
Six Self-catering Static Caravans available for holidays and short breaks year round in the Peak District, Derbyshire UK. The holiday accommodation is set on a working family farm and all our Static Caravans have spectacular views over open countryside. The vans are each equipped for 6 people and all have ample room for parking outside.
Your welcome to explore our farm and see the baby calves. We also have a horse and chickens, which can be fed. There is lots of wildlife to spot. Children are welcome and we have a sandpit and swings for them to enjoy. We do ask that they are supervised and act responsibly at all times around the farm buildings and animals. Pets are welcome in vans 1 -4 but we ask you not to smoke inside any of our caravans. Static Caravans 5 and 6 are reserved for allergy sufferers so are pet free.
There are many footpaths crossing our land and bridleways to explore. The area is hilly with kinder Scout, the highest mountain in the peak District just three miles away. There are waterproof boxes outside each van to store muddy boots and wet clothes plus we can provide storage for mountain bikes free of charge.
Our local town New Mills is a mile away and has a good selection of shops including two supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, take aways and banks with cash machines.
We are on the edge of the northern Peak District with most of the Peak District National Park within one hours drive of the farm. Activities are numerous including walking, cycling, horse riding, rock climbing or visiting attractions such as the Blue John caverns at Castleton or the huge theme park at Alton Towers.
Manchester is only half an hour away by train. This is a modern and vibrant city offering museums, art galleries, shopping, numerous cinemas, excellent restaurants and night life to suit all tastes.
