Jeffreys Bay is a year round fun place to be and known for its world famous waves at Supertubes! The Billabong Pro is held here every year in June/July. We are also proud to mention that our beaches have Blue Flag Status! We offer a variety of activities as canoeing, which can be arranged on request.
The bustling town is bordered on both sides by nature reserves.
A wide variety of shops reflect the diversity of local talent. A good selection of coffee shops, fast food take aways and restaurants cater for every culinary.
Discover the culture of Kouga. The annual Fynbos Festival is held each year in August in Humansdorp. More than 2000 species of plants grow naturally in the area.
The unique Kouga Cultural Centre was officially opened on 21 December 2002. Come and experience the Khoisan cultural history. Visit Sarah Baartman's grave at Hankey, about 40 km from Jeffreys Bay.
St. Francis bay is unique in South Africa. The visual delight of the charming thatched architecture, the picturesque serenity of the seven kilometre residential marina, known as 'the canals', the outstanding beauty of the navigable Kromme River and estuary contribute towards the magnificent upmarket village. Here one can experience the pleasures of living right at the waters edge, including the thrill of fishing from the front lawn!
Cape St. Francis, nestled in the dunes, surrounded by fynbos enables you to relax.
Visiting Jeffreys bay offers a lot! Not only being the home to perfect waves, but also for the variety and quality of shells that are deposited on its unspoilt beaches. Make sure that you visit the Shell Museum before you start your own collection or buy some of the shell art from the local people.
Jeffreys Bay is part of the Whale route and a visit to the outlook at Plane Street is necessary! (Between July and October)
