Redwood Country House and Apartments
Redwood Apartments are 3* approved by the Irish Tourist Board, situated on 15 acres of pasture, garden and woodland - 2 miles from Killarney Town.
The Apartments are self-contained with 2 en-suite bedrooms on the first floor. The ground floor has a sitting room with TV and kitchen-cum-dining. There is also a ground floor toilet. Kitchens are fully fitted and include microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer.
All beds have duvets and full linen. Towels are supplied. The apartments are fully electric. Redwood is 12 minutes from Kerry Airport.
Collection at Redwood each day at 10.00 a.m. for tours of Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula and Gap of Dunloe.
Redwood is ideally situated for touring the Lakes of Killarney, walking, hill climbing, fishing and golfing. One of Killarney's biggest attractions is Muckross House and Gardens - a magnificent Victorian Mansion set in beautiful gardens making it a magical setting with the Killarney lakes and mountains surrounding it. The house is set in the middle of the National Park and you can tour the area on traditional jaunting car, bike or by foot. Nearby see the lifestyles and farming traditions of a rural working community in the 1930s carrying out their daily tasks in the Muckross Traditional Farms.
Experience the best of ancient castles and abbeys, gushing cascades, rugged hills, and sparkling lakes. Travel through the Gap of Dunloe, by the famous Kate Kearneys Cottage, past Echo Lake, arriving at Lord Brandons former Cottage. Complete the journey by traditional open boat to the Meeting of the Waters. Here shoot the rapids and onto the Lower Lake and Ross Castle.
Ross Castle is the ideal gateway to the lakes for boating, cruising or fishing for trout and salmon. You can also take a guided tour of this historical 17th century Castle.Nature lovers will enjoy the historical Knockreer House and Gardens for its beautiful fauna and flora, a short stroll from the Cathedral in Killarney
To get to Redwood - take N22 from Killarney towards Tralee/Limerick.
Redwood is 2 miles from the Cleeny Roundabout. From Dublin, Shannon, Galway:- Redwood is 10 minutes drive from Farranfore on the right.
