Chez Ming Gite

The Chez Ming Gite holiday home is a self-catering apartment for 4 with all that you will need to enjoy a wonderful holiday. It has a private terrace with access to, and the use of, a large secluded garden bordering a stream, Le Vert. The village has a range of essential shops and services.

The Lac Vert leisure lake is just 1km away from the gite by a footpath alongside the stream, or by road. The lake has bathing, a cafe, restaurant, picnic areas, sporting and other leisure facilities.

The Chez Ming gite is just 15 kms from Cahors, the provincial capital of the Lot in South-West France. Cahors has the full range of services normally found in a large town.

The Chez Ming gite is situated alongside a stream, Le Vert, at the edge of the village of Catus. You will receive a warm welcome at this delightful 2-bedroomed self-catering holiday home that occupies the whole of the ground floor of a beautifully restored 19th century stone house typical of the region. It is completely self-contained with its own entrance and parking bay and ample off-road parking.

The garden is fenced off and safe for children with a protected well and shaded patio areas. A children's playhouse, petanque (French bowls) court, outdoor games, and swings are available.

Michele & Eddie, your French/British hosts, occupy the upper floors of the house. They value your privacy but are available to assist you if you need it

We are located less than one hour's drive to popular tourist sites in the Lot and Dordogne and only 2-3 hours drive to the Mediterranean, Atlantic coast, the Pyrenees and Spain.

In and around Catus there is much to see and do. Cycling, rambling, fishing, paragliding, canoeing are some of the many activities available in the area.

Second-hand flea markets (Brocantes and vide greniers), fairs, general produce markets etc. are popular attractions that take place throughout the year.
