A unique holiday
The Stone House, built in 1860 is situated in an acre of lush old fashioned gardens overlooking the road and hill down to the beach just minutes away.
The house sleeps nine people. We offer four clean comfortably furnished spacious bedrooms. Three rooms have double beds (no queen or king size beds) and the fourth has three twin spool beds.
Upstairs is a shared full bath with shower and toilet.
The main floor features “The Quiet Room”, a lovely sunny living room for reading, free WiFi, and a very early beautiful satinwood grand piano. The dining room seats nine people and the views look out to the ocean sunsets and Port Hood Island.
A television DVD player is provided with a small selection of films for all ages. (no cable)
A fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher and microwave catches the morning light. There is also a “powder room” (sink and toilet ) on the main floor.
As well as one of the warmest and most beautiful beaches in Cape Breton we have many nature walks and trails nearby, as well as boat tours to Port Hood Island (one mile from shore) We also have a kayak and surf-sailor for those who know how to use them.
The downstairs servants quarters, now a small apartment, is for the private use of the owners. It has a private back Entrance.
