The Cottage: A Taste of Laid Back Cornish Heaven

The Cottage is truly a home from home experience, capturing guests’ hearts from the moment they enter. Uniquely situated adjacent to a village green, that also forms part of the property, The Cottage is perfect for couples, families and dog owners looking to explore this fabulous corner of North Cornwall and further afield in both Cornwall and Devon.

Near the North Cornwall coast, guests are able to escape the madding crowd and enjoy the tranquility of country life, yet still be able to experience the thrills of coastal and moorland walks, surfing, cycling, golf, photographic opportunities and much more, which this area provides in abundance, all within a 10-15 minute drive.

During Autumn, Winter and Spring coastal walks, country lanes and sandy coves are peaceful and the sea entertains with awe-inspiring surf crashing on to deserted beaches. End the day warming your toes snuggled in front of the wood burning stove or cuddle up in front of the smart TV for some seasonal entertainment.

Whether you choose to cook delicious dinners yourself or arrange for a local chef to prepare a special meal for you, the kitchen is fully equipped with modern facilities including a further smart TV.

A dedicated laundry room provides a 'warm room' for drying damp or wet clothing plus a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The Cottage is a great place to relax and unwind. Dog and baby-sitting can easily be arranged to free up an evening for a special night out.

This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom luxury 5 star gold awarded cottage, with 100% Cleanliness certification can accommodate up to 6 persons, up to two infants and two/three dogs depending on breed.

The delightful Master bedroom suite comprises a king bed, large ensuite bathroom with claw foot bath tub, large walk-in shower and twin basins, plus the luxury of a walk-in dressing room. Two other restful bedrooms offer a double bed and two twin beds. A further shower room is upstairs and a wet-room downstairs.

As you enter through the main porch you will immediately find old antiquities and the owner's personal photographic artwork a style which continues throughout the cottage.

The Cottage owner is a local Cornish lass, who grew up on the family farm a stone throw’s from The Cottage. Her website is an authoritative insight to activities, places of interest, places to eat etc in the local area and is well worth visiting. The Cottage is available for 3,4 and 7 night stays with packages ranging from £495 plus £5 per dog per night.

'We enjoyed a weeks stay here from 12th August 2016; Two adults, two teens and a labradoodle. Wow! The attention to detail and effort in creating such a perfect cottage was clear, Jacqui has left nothing out, putting her heart and soul into it. Such a beautiful cottage, well equipped and designed, I honestly can't think of anything better.

In an ideal location, the cottage was very well presented and immaculately clean, with lovely comfortable beds. The welcome hampers for both humans and dogs went far beyond expectations. Dog sitting was the icing on the cake and ours enjoyed two very happy days being entertained and very well cared for. Even the tween and teen enjoyed their stay.
