Durham Cottages

Dove Cottage, Fern Cottage and Rose Cottage are conveniently located for exploring Durham City or the surrounding area.
Fern Cottage and Rose Cottage are grade 11 listed and located in Gilesgate on the east side of the city, designated a conservation area containing many old and interesting buildings. Only 10 minutes walk to Durham City centre.
Both cottages have a lounge and dining area, kitchen, large double bedroom, bathroom with bath, over bath shower, hand basin and wc. There is a small rear courtyard with garden furniture.

Fern Cottage and Rose Cottage have good local amenities within walking distance, including a supermarket with off-license and cash point, a bakers, a hairdressers and 24hr garage. Also in the vicinity is a pub, which serves meals and a take away.

Both cottages are within walking distance of Durham City Centre, Durham Cathedral and a large number of University colleges and departments. The bus service is frequent and reliable.

Dove cottage is a detached cottage located in Sherburn Village, 3 miles east of Durham City. It is situated at the rear of Weardale House in the village centre.
The cottage has a lounge/dining room, kitchen, one double bedroom with a double bed and a shower room with hand basin and wc. There is also a private courtyard and large garden.

Dove Cottage has good local amenities within 5 minutes walking distance, including a supermarket with off licence, newsagents, post office, pharmacy, hair dressers and bakers. Also in the vicinity are two pubs and a take away. There is frequent local bus service to Durham.

Walkers and Cyclists are welcome, secure cycle storage, facilities for cleaning cycles and an area for drying outdoor clothes and boot is available.
Dove Cottage is pet friendly and will accept one dog, although we would ask that they are not left in the property unattended. There is a charge of £5 per night.
