Casa Las Eras La Celada, Iznajar Lovely 2 Bedroom Cottage

The cottage accommodation is on two floors Lounge – There is a large comfortable corner sofa which can be converted to a double bed for additional guests. A woodburner provides heating for any chilly winter months. There is a SmartTV and a range of DVDs and books for use by guests, together with a portable CD player that can be moved inside and out to suit.

Kitchen/Dining – Fully equipped with 5 ring cooker, dishwasher and tall fridge freezer and everything you might need to get the most from your self catering holiday. There is also a second woodburner. The kitchen opens into the dining room and has a large extendable table and chairs.

Bedrooms – Both bedrooms look out to the front of the house, overlooking the village park, with play area and exercise equipment. Both bedrooms have ceiling fan/lights and separate portable fans, if required, for very hot nights. There is plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and a hairdryer is also provided. Linen and towels are included.

Bathrooms – There is a separate WC on the ground floor and the upstairs wet room has a large tiled shower, WC and basin.

Terrace/Beer Garden – The landing leads out to a large secluded terrace with bar and BBQ area. There is outside seating and table with large umbrella for shade. It is the ideal place for watching the glorious sunsets with a glass of Spanish wine from the extensive range available locally.

Park – If you have children, directly opposite Casa Las Eras is the village park with slide, swings etc. There is also a range of outdoor exercise equipment for the not so young!

The village of La Celada is a hamlet of Iznajar, – just a few minutes drive to the town, with its fabulous Moorish Castle, lake and beach. It has its own well stocked shop, in the plaza (square) and traditional Spanish bar. The area is known as “The crossroads of Andalucia”, being that it borders the provinces of Malaga, Granada and Cordoba and has excellent motorway access; the coast and major cities being easily reached in about an hour. Skiing in the Sierra Nevadas in just 1.50 hours away. Casa Las Eras and Iznajar are the ideal location to visit the many cultural and tourist attractions close by.

Iznajar Town
Iznajar itself is unspoiled and traditional; a labyrinth of typical whitewashed Andalucían houses dotted around narrow lanes. The castle, perched at the top, dates from the 8th century and the church from the 16th century, which can be visited along with several museums and exhibitions. There are breathtaking views over the lake.

The Beach
Valdearanas Beach on the lake is where you can swim, rent pedaloes and kayaks, and sail. The water is lovely to swim in and the bathing is safe. There are two beach bars/restaurants located directly on the beach.

Fiestas
The Fiestas are second to none. Semana Santa (Easter), San Isidro and the two annual Ferias are to name but a few. Each of Iznajar’s hamlets have their own celebrations in addition, usually to celebrate their own individual patron saint. Many of the local fiestas last three or four days!

Food & Drink
There are many bars and restaurants offering an excellent range of cuisines, many with typical Spanish dishes. Many bars offer delicious traditional tapas with your drink, either free or for a nominal 30c!!!!
