Stag Lodge
From the outside the refurbished estate cottage of Stag Lodge may look simple and unembellished but step inside and you will be amazed by the attention to detail. This luxury four bedroom cottage has everything a family or group of friends could wish for when staying in the Scottish Highlands.
When the winter comes warm up beside the open fireplace and enjoy the peace and quiet and in the summer when the days are long admire the beautiful sunsets that turn the Highlands gold.
Fully refurbished in 2013, Stag Lodge has been tastefully decorated throughout with every room offering clean and comfortable furnishings.
The warm and cosy utility room is the perfect place to store muddy boats and dry wet dogs, and wet clothes can easily be cleaned and dried ready for the next day in the washing machine and tumble dryer.
With lovely views of the garden and a nice open fireplace, the living room is the best place to put your feet up and relax on one of the large leather sofas as you watch TV or read a good book.
The well equipped kitchen is modern and stylish with wood units and dark work tops. Fitted with a large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, twin oven and ceramic hob, the room has everything you need for cooking breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is also ample storage space for a good week's worth of food and supplies.
The main Master Bedroom is located on the ground floor and benefits from beautiful views of the glen and garden. The double bed is nice and comfy and there is lots of space for hanging clothes in the wardrobe. There is also a downstairs shower room, which can be used as a sole en-suite for the Master Bedroom or if preferred a second family bathroom for everyone to enjoy.
Upstairs there are three further twin bedrooms all with gorgeous views and good quality beds and furnishings. There is also a nice family bathroom with deep bath where you enjoy long hot soaks in the tub with a glass of wine or good book.
Sliding doors lead out from the living room to the quaint cottage garden, where you can watch the sunset or keep an eye on the dogs or children. The garden also attracts a number of local wildlife, which can be seen from the comfort of the living room.
Stag Lodge is the ideal base for walking, fishing and stalking in the Scottish Highlands. Located on the 12,000 acre Glencarron Estate, guests are spoilt for options of where they can enjoy a number of outdoor pursuits. Munro Baggers will also love the four peaks, which are over 3000ft that are on the Estate. A further eight are all within an easy drive.
