Welcome to O Tartufo, Bed and Breakfast near Moncarapacho in the east Algarve, Portugal

Unwind in the Algarve of Portugal! Let yourself be surrounded on your holiday by Portuguese country life and be close to the beaches too. O Tartufo is an attractive and extraordinary Bed and Breakfast just outside of the town Moncarapacho.

The atmosphere at O Tartufo in southern Portugal breathes tranquillity. The Bed and Breakfast is situated in the tranquil east Algarve near Moncarapacho and the small village near the ocean, Fuseta. It's a little over 20 kilometres from Faro airport and just 4 kilometres to the ocean.

We have renovated our bed and breakfast and have totally renewed parts of it in the first months of 2011! Each room is designed with care and the whole house breathes a relaxed atmosphere. You will find a lot of Moorish and Moroccan details in this B&B. In the old Quinta (Portuguese country house) it is nice and cool in summer due to the thick walls and nice and cosy in winter thanks to the wood burners. A small apartment is situated in the green courtyard. The green courtyard has lovely little seating areas and two more double rooms, each with a cosy living room. In the old Quinta are four double rooms and one single room.

The garden at the front of O Tartufo has a lot of small places to relax in the shade, but for the real sun lovers we have a big roof terrace to enjoy the sun, read a book or enjoy a meal!

O Tartufo B&B in the east Algarve of south Portugal has a total of seven different guest rooms and one small self catering apartment. All rooms are decorated in uniquely with paintings and small art objects, often made by our own creative friends and relatives or bought in local art galleries in the Algarve.

To complete your stay at our bed and breakfast there are a lot of facilities to make you feel at home in the south of Portugal. Some things are very basic like good and comfortable beds, nice mattresses and clean and fresh towels!

But next to that we offer something more: a big roof terrace to enjoy the scenery of the Algarve in Portugal, or to enjoy a good glass of wine or just to relax and read a book.

There is also a kitchen for guests in our Bed and Breakfast. Here you can prepare a nice salad, keep your drinks cool in the fridge or prepare a meal. When you don’t feel like cooking you can go to Moncarapacho or Fuseta for a nice meal in one of the restaurants and later on for a drink in one of the small bars.

We serve breakfast in the cosy decorated lounge between 9 and 10 AM. Of course you are more than welcome to use the lounge during the rest of the day to read a book or to play a game.

If you are coming to our B&B to get away from it all, we recommend you take a stroll onto our piece of land. There we have hidden a hammock, and you can always take a chair from our garden and place it somewhere in a hidden corner of our land to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

In the main house we have a book case with books in English, German and Dutch. You are welcome to swap a book with us! In the breakfast room or lounge you can find many leaflets and information on local restaurants, markets and nearby beaches. Also, you can use our Free WIFI throughout the house.

Kids will be happy to learn that we have a large swing in the garden and a trampoline on our land.
You can borrow beach umbrellas without extra charge and rent beach towels if you have forgotten to bring them.
