Borvemor self-catering cottages occupy a superb location in Scarista, Harris on West coast croft land with direct access to one of the most glorious Atlantic beaches, which is enjoyable in all weathers.

There are now 5 differing traditional styles to choose from and full descriptions are available on our web site with online booking, availability and prices.

We are 6 miles North of Leverburgh where daily visits to St Kilda are run by Kilda cruises (see link on our web page) At 14 miles South of ferry terminal Tarbert we are a short drive away from all shops, hotels and restaurants with a good hotel restaurant only one mile from us at Scarista.

The North Harris hills are very accessible and you can walk on to the hills on the landward side of road directly from Borvemor self catering cottages Eagles can be viewed from the eagle hide half an hours drive away and seals and otters are seen near cottages after walking through beautiful machair land full of wild flowers in summer to arrive at a perfect secluded shell sand beach with rock pools.

Many visitors appreciate the sunsets over this West facing beach and the lovely colour changes in the sky after sun goes down. The peace and tranquillity as well as hearing the sound of surf from their bedrooms have attracted many of them back for another stay in their holiday homes at Borvemor Cottages.

Family groups are especially welcome and cottages can accommodate 2 -6 as well as combinations of cottages to cater for bigger parties, which can be very useful.
