Cottage for rent in the Scottish Highlands. Achnacarry is a cosy and homely cottage situated in a secluded and peaceful spot approximately 2 miles outside the picturesque town of Dornoch.
The cottage consists of a dining/living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, shower and toilet, 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds) and a heated porch. Wireless internet access is provided free of charge. A garage is available for one car and parking spaces for a further 3.
The cottage is self-catering, sleeps four and enjoys stunning panoramic views of the Dornoch Firth. Beautiful walks can be taken along the nearby beach, where seals can often be spotted, or in the adjacent Camore Wood, which also hosts a sports trail for the more active.
The house is surrounded by a large garden, where deer and pheasants are no strangers!
The cottage can be rented for a minimum of one week, the whole year round. Pets are not allowed and smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.
It is the ideal location for those who want to ‘get away from it all’, and for those who want to explore the hidden jewels of the beautiful Highlands.
Nearby attractions include the Lochans, a fishing area and golf driving range open to the public (500 metres from the cottage), the beautiful town of Dornoch, with its famous cathedral and castle (a 5-minute drive away), Glenmorangie Distillery (10 minutes by car), Bonar Bridge (15 minutes by car), and the world famous Royal Dornoch Golf Club (10 minutes by car) and Tain Golf Club (15 minutes by car).
