Alltybrain Farm Cottages

Alltybrain Farm has two 5* graded holiday cottages suitable for accommodating two people. Both of these country cottages are situated on opposite sides of the large yard at Alltybrain Farm and are private and peaceful places to stay. Each cottage has its own unique character retaining old features from the original 300 year old stone buildings.

With wood burning stoves and plenty of logs which are included in the tariff, these cottages are a perfect place to stay throughout the year.

Damson Cottage has a king-sized bedroom upstairs with wonderful views overlooking the Honddu Valley and Duck Cottage has a super king-sized bedroom (or two single beds) on the ground floor with french windows opening out onto a sunny patio area with the view of the Beacons beyond. Each cottage is comfortably equipped and centrally heated.

Duck Cottage bathroom has a large walk-in power shower as well as a decent sized bath with shower taps. Damson Cottage bathroom has a normal sized bath with power shower. Both cottages have french windows that open out into gardens. There is plenty of space for bike and boot storage and a wash down facility in the near by shed.

We can also offer stabling and paddocks for those guests who wish to bring their horse on holiday too.

We have a pretty wild woodland walk, two ponds with ducks and chickens living near by, an orchard, some bees and a vegetable garden! Guests are welcome to have a walk around. The vegetable garden is sometimes productive and we are able to supply vegetables and when the chickens are not on strike, fresh eggs!

The Hayloft is self-catering accommodation which can be booked nightly per person and can accommodate up to 4 people in dormitory style. It has a large spacious bedroom, a big dining/sitting area and a kitchen area. The bathroom is downstairs and it has a very good powerful shower. This accommodation is very suitable for guests wanting to walk, ride, and fish. There is plenty of safe storage space in the near by shed. The pub in the village is within easy walking distance and serves good food.

Alltybrain Farm Cottages is an ideal place to stay for exploring South and Mid Wales. It is a good location from which to visit The Brecon Beacons National Park, for attending The Hay Literary Festival in June, The Royal Welsh Show in July, Brecon Jazz Festival in August and The Abergavenny Food Festival in September.
