Les Volets Rouges

Les Volets Rouges is a beautifully restored ancient farm building set in the tranquil Loire Valley countryside. It is set in the heart of an area world-famous for its beautiful chateaux, old towns and ancient monuments. This particular region is also highly reputed for the quality of its wine. Wines such as Chinon; Bourgeuil; St Nicholas de Bourgeuil; Champigny and all the wonderful Loire valley sparkling wines such as Ackerman; Saumur & the magnificent Gratien Meyer.

The accommodation, which sleeps 6 to 8 persons, is spacious and comfortable. Guests have use of a 12 x 6 metre heated swimming pool, which can be accessed, through the generous poolside conservatory.

There are two ground floor bedrooms one with its own facilities which include a wonderful walk in shower-room and the other situated next to a bath/shower-room and a separate W.C. There is a mezzanine area with 2 single beds as well as a double sofa bed in the sitting area.

There is a large open-plan ground-floor kitchen/diner/sitting room with a large log burner for winter lets. The kitchen features all modern appliances - oven; microwave, hob, dishwasher & washing machine. The generous sitting area features British satellite TV & a DVD player.

To the South of the building is a beautiful mature garden. On the other side is an enclosed courtyard with the swimming pool and a herb garden.

The house is situated around about one mile from the nearest town, which has all amenities: bread-shops; supermarket; butcher; hairdressers; doctors surgeries etc. It is located only 10 minutes from the beautiful town of Saumur.

Les Volets Rouges is situated only 500 from National forestland where there are many miles of woodland trails.
