If you want off the pace and noise of life today, we offer a unique experience in La Portiella. Asturian traditional house built of stone, recently restored and refurbished. With all the taste of an authentic traditional house and the comforts of modern amenities. Seating for 6-7 people, La Portiella is the place to enjoy with your family for a time of tranquility and quality.

La Portiella is a detached house situated in a valley situated in the Cuera Mountains, surrounded by woods and into a farm, an estate of 100,000 m2 of pasture and native forests of oak, oak, birch, hazel, chestnut and fruit trees. Sheep, cows and horses graze in our grasslands. We also raise chickens, rabbits and goats for our own consumption as well as growing vegetables and cider, also for family consumption.

Located in the village of Villa de Caldueño within the County of Llanes, on the east coast of Asturias. It is a perfect place to enjoy a rural environment of exceptional beauty and tranquility, with views of the Caldueño Valley, the Sierra del Cuera and the Picos de Europa in the background, with the advantage of being a few miles of the most beautiful beaches of Llanes and the National Park Picos de Europa, which offers many opportunities for leisure, sport and interesting cultural visits.

The house is over 100 years old, has been completely renovated in 2011, and retains all its character, with oak and chestnut beams and stone walls. Inside the decoration is simple, with some antiques, and fully equipped. All in one flat, it has a large open-plan kitchen-dinning- living room with fireplace, open to a typical Asturian corridor, three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, one located in the master bedroom with shower and the other one with a bath tub.

From all the rooms and the garden you can enjoy beautiful views of the valley, the mountains and forests that surround it.

To make your holiday a real retreat, La Portiella offers you a place to rest with no noise, no TV and no light pollution in the countryside. In this spot you can walk, read, enjoy the scenery, get lost in the quiet corners or participate in farm activities. Pathways are reported from the house for hiking.
