Our cottages are bright and spacious with solid wood floors throughout. The bedrooms have king sized beds or two singles as required. Each cottage has a wet room; an open plan kitchen with electric hob, oven, microwave and fridge; a sitting/ dining room with a comfortable bed settee for two extra guests and French windows leading on to a private decked area.

With garden furniture and lawn. Bed linen, towels, electricity and central heating are all included in the price. Freeview satellite TV, DVD player, radio and wi-fi internet are all included. We have separate laundry facilities, secure private parking and a large, safe garden. All cottages are fully wheelchair accessible having M1 accreditation.

Cross Farm Holiday Cottages are ideally located for visitors to the North West. Liverpool has many attractions including the Albert Dock, Tate Gallery, Maritime Museum and Football fixtures. The Grand National and Anthony Gormley's Other Place are both less than 30 minutes drive away or accessible by regular public transport.

Two National Trust properties, Speke Hall and Rufford Old Hall are nearby as is the classic Victorian seaside town of Southport with its famous tree lined boulevard; period shopping arcades; antique shops and great fish and chips. To the south the coast sweeps through Ainsdale's sand dunes and Formby where there are long, sandy beaches, pine woods and a National Trust red squirrel reserve.

Anglers can enjoy fine fishing on the Leeds Liverpool canal just across the road from Cross Farm or in one of the five nearby fishing lakes. Keen bird watchers can enjoy Marshside, Mere Sands Woods and the WWT reserve at Martin Mere.

Cyclists and walkers can explore the Leeds Liverpool canal towpath, the Cheshire Lines and the Trans Pennine Trail running from Southport to Hornsea. The region has many warm and welcoming local pubs and restaurants including the recently refurbished Gastro Bar and Grill a short walk away.
