La Jeusselinière Gite in the Mayenne countryside
La Petite Jeusseliniere is a one bedroomed gite backing on to the orchard paddock and views at the front to the gites private garden. Wisteria and jasmine adorn the front of the property and the scent fills the air during spring and summer.
There are two double sofas (one is a sofa bed) in the sitting area with cosy woodburner with original bread oven behind. Satellite television, as well as DVD player, There is aPS2 game console with a selection of DVD's and games. Modern fitted kitchen, full size electric oven, gas hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker as well as a comprehensive range of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc. to make it a comfortable home from home.
The bedroom is light and airy room with comfortable double bed - all bedding and towels provided. The large landing can accommodate a cot or single bed for smaller members of the family.
We also offer and three B&B en-suite bedrooms converted in 2012, with private entrance, WIFI, Satellite TV, tea & coffee facilities etc. Breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals prepared from home grown and local produce are available in the guest dining room. Surrounded by fields of corn and Normandy cows you are guaranteed a peaceful break.
Take time to relax by the pool, sit in the gardens, meet the free-range chickens and of course enjoy a glass of wine or cider. We also offer our welcoming dining room was converted from the livestock barn, it has slate floors, original stone wall and exposed beams. The room can cater for 16 diners and is available for both chambre d'hote guests as well as gite guests. We offer a five-course meal cooked fresh from home grown and local produce.
The gite is situated 1km from the pretty village of Larchamp, where you will find a boulangerie, shop, bar tabac and pizza restaurant the Tymen.
Further afield approx 10km there is the Town of Ernee which has supermarkets and a variety of eateries and bars. 15km away is the large town of Fougeres, which has more facilities and has a new indoor swimming pool of bowling alley.
Further afield are the towns of Mayenne and Laval.
It is an ideal base to explore Pays de la Loire, Brittany and Normandy and we are only 1 hour from Mont St Michel and St Malo.
There are a variety of things to do including the velorails, Loheac motor museum, Le Mans museum and track, lovely gardens castle and chateaux to explore.
If you are felling really adventorous you can get to the wine growing region of Samaur in 2 hours.
