Badenscallie Chalet
The local crofting and fishing community has a rich history and was a Gaelic- speaking area until recent times. It is now is a Scottish Wildlife Trust Reserve, ideal for hill walkers and nature lovers, and a perfect holiday base from which to explore the peat moorlands, lochs, sea cliffs and beaches of this inviting and fascinating part of Scotland. Daily cruises visit the Summer Isles for bird and seal watching, and the coastline has many safe sandy beaches and rock pools to tempt all ages. March 2012 guests described the location of this holiday cottage as 'absolutely stunning'.
Badenscallie coastal chalet sleeps 4. There are 2 bedrooms ( 1 twin and 1 double); shower room with electric shower; lounge /dining room with large picture windows looking out to sea; wooden deck/ balcony for sitting out and enjoying the scenery , wildlife and sunsets.
There is also a TV/DVD/CD player with IPod dock, books , games etc.
The chalet kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, fridge ( with ice box) dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine/tumble dryer.
Basics like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cling film, foil, toilet roll etc are provided.
A grocery welcome pack can be arranged through the local shop.
The bedrooms have electric heaters and electric blankets, in case of chilly evenings. Bed linen is provided although guests may wish to bring their personal towels. A hairdryer is provided.
The chalet is set in its own private grounds with parking to the door. It is all electric, which is included in price. One small dog may be brought by arrangement.
