We look forward to welcoming you to our self-catering holiday homes, Swallow Cottage that comfortably sleeps 5 and Stable End, a romantic getaway for 2. Both cottages have been awarded the maximum 5 ticks as a mark of quality by Sykes Holiday Cottages.

Sympathetically restored to a very high standard, both cottages have exposed stonewalls, oak beams and original trusses to retain their traditional grade II listed charm.

Set within an acre of communal garden our children’s play area will allow you to relax and enjoy distant views whilst your children are playing. Secure bike storage facilities are also available.

Swallow Cottage has a large comfortable open plan living and dining area with a wealth of original features. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all modern amenities and a small-enclosed private garden making it a true home from home.

On the first floor you will find a master bedroom with en-suite and a small balcony with views over the courtyard. There is also a large twin bedroom, a single bedroom and a family bathroom making it ideal for families and friends. Stable End is ideal for an intimate and romantic break anytime of the year. It has a large open plan living area of exposed beams, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and its own pretty courtyard garden.

On the first floor is a very spacious king size bedroom with distant views. The stylish bathroom gives you the luxury of soaking in the corner bath or using the large separate shower cubicle.

Set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), this is a wonderful location for walking, cycling, bird watching and touring at a leisurely pace. Countryside walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep, through woodlands, open farmland and to ancient hill forts. Those who prefer two wheels can enjoy the various leisurely and thrill seeking mountain bike trails at nearby Hopton Wood.

The market town of Knighton is home to the Offa’s Dyke long distance footpath whilst Ludlow with its harmonious mix of architecture and 11th century castle provides the perfect backdrop to its famous Michelin star restaurants, food fairs and festivals.

A visit to Acton Scott working farm museum and the many historic houses and gardens are a must when visiting Shropshire, including the World Heritage Site at Ironbridge.

The larger towns of Shrewsbury and Hereford provide ample shopping opportunities with all this and many more attractions within an hours drive from Bryncalled Barns.
