Shalimar

Shalimar is a luxury holiday home in an idyllic location next to Anagach Woods yet only a short walk to Grantown's shops, pubs & restaurants. There are fantastic walks, bike rides and wildlife for you to enjoy right on the doorstep. The perfect setting for a fantastic self-catering holiday in the heart of Speyside.

We have luxuriously refurbished Shalimar while retaining its original character. Everything has been taken care of so you will have a wonderful holiday in the Highlands.

Shalimar is full of luxury from the Corian worktops, Neff double oven, built in microwave and induction hob in the kitchen to the wood-burning stoves to the extra large (1800mm x 800mm) bath for a well deserved soak after a day of walking/skiing/cycling/golf/fishing (delete where applicable!); you will love the views from the sunroom and patio to the woods.

The living room is cosy and warm with another wood-burning stove; there is a flat screen TV with Sky (freesat channels), DVD player, iPod docking station.

The kingsize master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a large shower cubicle, WC & basin. There is underfloor heating for real luxury. The room is dual aspect with views to the hills at the front and views of the woods at the rear.

There is a family room with 3 single beds for flexible accommodation; there is a single bedroom and a twin bedroom.

Downstairs there is a snug with a sofa-bed so that a maximum of 10 guests can be comfortable accommodated.

The family bathroom has a full size bath for real comfort and a separate shower cubicle, WC & basin. There is also underfloor heating.

Shalimar has been modernised so that it is warm and comfortable even in the extreme Grantown winters: all of the windows have been replaced with high performance double glazing; the house has been well insulated; there are two wood burning stoves for real comfort.

Outside, the sunroom leads onto a raised patio deck with steps down to the lower garden. There are fantastic views to the Anagach Woods.

The setting could not be more peaceful or tranquil and yet so convenient for the River Spey and the town centre.

Shalimar is ideal for families; children and dogs are welcome. WiFi is available. Welcome pack, heating, bed linen & towels are all included. Available all year round.
