Ferragudo in west Algarve, Portugal, has plenty of places to eat and drink, with the pretty cobbled square 'Praça Rainha Dona Leonor' being the centre of activity day and night! The square has several café-bars and restaurants where you can sit for a delicious pastry and a coffee for a breakfast, or to enjoy something more substantial at lunch or dinner.

Praia Grande Beach is situated in the estuary of the river Arade, next to Ferragudo.
The sandy area is quite extensive, surrounded by low cliffs with intense vegetation.
Due to its calm river waters, the beach usually has a big frequency, mainly families, with some calmer and quieter spots further to the South side of the Beach.
Several boats, embarkations and nautical sports are frequent in the water.
