Pentre Bach Holiday Cottages
Pentre Bach House (Pentre Bach means 'little village') is an elegant 6 bedroomed house with wonderful views from every window. Attached are 2 traditional cottages, 3 bedroomed Y Popty (the bakehouse) and the quirky 2 bedroomed Y Llaethdy (the dairy). Nearby is the 3 bedroomed bungalow Pen y Lon (end of the lane) which is adapted for wheelchair users.
Guests can book any number of cottages. In fact we can cater for up to 32 guests altogether. All guests have access to three acres of land so there's plenty of space to play rounders, cricket, football or fly a kite.
Children can play on our tyre swings, hide in the willow den , play table tennis, dress up (from our dressing up hamper) or try out our Treasure Hunt round the village. Each cottage is also well equipped with books, DVDs and board games for those occasional wet days.
The local area is stunning yet still relatively quiet. You're spoiled for choice by the many local walks, from easy strolls across the bridge to Barmouth to more challenging treks up Cader Idris.
There are four RSPB bird reserves within a short drive away, including Ynis Hir where Springwatch is filmed. You can go cycling along the Mawddach trail or opt for a challenging black trail at Coed y Brenin , where there is also a Go Ape rope course. There are several golf courses nearby as well as fishing lakes, historical castles and steam railways to visit.
Each cottage is well equipped, has its own patio with barbeque, overlooking the sea and has access to a garden and our field. Guests in the main house have access to wi-fi.
Bookings can be made for full weeks only during the peak season but short breaks can be booked out of the peak season. Included in our prices are electricity, heating, bed linen and towels. One pet is allowed in each cottage. Guests can buy freshly harvested vegetables grown on our land.
