Week Meadow Totnes
Tastefully furnished apartment with double bed, a table with chairs by the window overlooking the pretty front garden. There is a newly installed private bathroom and a kitchen. There is also a flat screen TV, Sony DAB clock radio, free Wi-fi, Ercol chairs, a hand-made 1930s desk. A campbed can be provided for a child under 16.
The apartment has its own sunny outside space. There is a footpath from our house to Dartington Woods and to the Dartington Steiner School. It's also close to Dartington Hall which has an art-house cinema, an excellent pub and restaurant and all kinds of conferences and special events throughout the year.
The compact, but well equipped kitchen has a gas cooker, toaster, kettle and of course plenty of pans and crockery.
For short stays B & B is also available as an option. Breakfast is served in the room at no additional charge.
Dartington is a great location to explore Devon. We're just two miles from the bustling market town of Totnes with its many excellent shops, cafes and restaurants. Totnes is also something of a centre for alternative life styles and the Transition Towns movement towards zero carbon.
Or go 4 miles in the other direction to reach the A38 with fast access to Exeter, Plymouth and of course the fabulous walking, cycling and riding offered by Dartmoor. And there are some lovely old pubs in the surrounding area. Our special favourites are the Ferry Boat Inn at Dittesham, the Church House Inn at Holne on Dartmoor and the Pigs Nose at East Prawle. But our local pub, the Cott, is also no slouch and has really excellent food.
We also have a fantastic range of beaches all within 40 minutes drive. From the wide expanses on the English Riviera at Paignton to remote hidden coves out towards East Prawle or surfing and kite surfing at Bigbury.
