A peacefull well-shaded resort 40km from George and 20km from Knysna. the Resort is situated in a natural bird sanctuary on the shores of tranquil Lake Pleasant (Groenvlei), the only freshwater lake on the Garden Route.

It's a birdwatcher's paradise. recreation: squash court, tennis court, swimming pool, safe swimming at the lake beach, health and fitness centre with sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and exercise machines. This is Knysna oyster country and also part of southern Africa’s whale route.

A fully licensed restaurant and pub is situated on the premises and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks, teas and take aways. There is also a convenience store. A 3km gravel road takes one down to a stretch of over 10km of beach and marine reserve . The Timber Cottages comprise three bedrooms, one with double bed en suite , one single bed with shower bath and toilet, another with single or adaptable bunk-style beds, a large wooden deck with barbeque leads into the lounge which boasts an open fireplace.

The Garden Lodges are in a lovely green setting surrounded by established trees and visited by a myriad of birds. They comprise two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, upstairs and downstairs. the 3seater oak settee can make up into the fifth and sixth beds. sliding doors lead unto brick patio and braai area. includes fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, toasters, crockery, cutlery, braaigrid, TV. Lake Pleasant has become known as having the finest black bass fishing in the republic and is now becoming a sport enjoyed by the whole family.
