Java Cottage, a self catering holiday cottage, is situated in the heart of picturesque Dunmore Town on Harbour Island. The cottage sits on the corner of King and Crown streets, just a short walk from the bay. Crown Street is one of the prettiest streets on the island with its quaint homes and beautiful gardens. Take a five minute walk to the beach in the predawn light, feel the cool pink sand between your toes and enjoy that smug feeling of being up and about while all else are still sleeping.

Externally, the cottage is traditionally Bahamian, typical of historic Harbour Island with it's original painted wooden siding. The property has undergone a total renovation inside and out. The interior boasts a modernised layout with all the usual conveniences. All rooms are air conditioned and have WiFi .

The Cottage provides the perfect mix of both new and old. The interior is open-planned and bright. The furnishings are well chosen to suit the island ambiance without sacrificing comfort. There is ample storage for suitcases and a concealed lockbox for valuables. The large 60kw automatic generator supplies ample power in the rare case of a power outage.

To the rear of the property is a large living/dining deck with cushioned banquet seating, dining table with large umbrella and a gas grill. The deck overlooks the 30'x15' pool and its own decked areas. Corner banquet seating, huge umbrellas and four teak loungers with side tables make a wonderful retreat for the reading of beach novels and consumption of drinks with little umbrellas in them.

There is also a charming cabana with a laundry and bathroom. A poolside fridge is convenient for that frosty beverage and an outside copper shower is available for use after swimming or a visit to the beach.
