Set in the tranquil Valverde valley, 2km from Praia da Luz, this restored farmhouse offers apartment holiday accommodation in traditional rustic and natural surroundings.

Intentionally simple, exposed beams, traditional calçada (stone) floors, terracotta against whitewashed walls, natural wood and sloping ceilings; each apartment is delightfully furnished with an eclectic mix of regional styles and artifacts from North Africa.

The apartments open on to views of the hilltop beyond which are the stunning beaches of Praia da Luz ( 'Beach of Light') and Lagos.

Each cottage apartment comprises of an open-plan sitting room and separate bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen.

The kitchens are generously equipped, with a washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, gas hob, oven, toaster and kettle.

Each apartment has a tv with access to Freesat channels, and wireless internet is available on request. In addition, each apartment offers its own private patio and barbecue area for alfresco dining.

The Atlantic coast offers stunning beaches, each with a very individual character. Some are ideal for sunbathing and gentle beach activities, others better suited to popular water-sports, such as Surfing and Windsurfing.

Lagos:

Quinta das Lajes is located within easy access of Lagos, a vibrant town with plenty of restaurants and bars and a highly cosmopolitan atmosphere, especially during the summer months.

Lagos is a traditional harbour town with a more recently developed modern marina, from where visitors can take excursions to the Grottoes and 'Seafaris' to view dolphins in their natural habitat.

Praia de Luz:

A short walk along the valley from Quinta das Lajes is the coastal village of Praia da Luz, famous for it's sun drenched sands and calm sea. Luz boasts all the virtues of a small but prominent tourist resort, with diverse restaurants, bars and shops.
