Guinevere, Tintagel
Located in a quiet gated mews in the heart of Tintagel, Guinevere is a luxurious barn conversion that provides the perfect romantic getaway on Cornwall's wild and dramatic north coast. The cottage sleeps two adults, one child and a baby (cot and highchair are provided).
If you are looking for a place to stay that is a little different, and that definitely has the 'wow factor', then you will not be disappointed when you enter Guinevere's stunning lounge, with its high vaulted ceiling, and climb the stairs to the mezzanine bedroom.
Centrally heated throughout, Guinevere is fully equipped and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is spacious and modern with an attractive oak dining table and wall-mounted flat screen television. It has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, and a full range of pans, crockery and cutlery. Leading from the kitchen is a large utility room with separate washer and drier, ironing facilities and a downstairs cloakroom.
The impressive lounge with its curved stone fireplace has two large comfortable sofas, a large flatscreen television, DVD player and surround sound system. It is the perfect place to relax.
The mezzanine bedroom, once the minstrel's gallery of an historic hotel lies high above the lounge below and has a kingsize bed and plenty of storage and hanging space. Leading off is the ensuite bathroom with a bath and handshower, and a second bedroom with single bed. Bedlinen and towels are inclusive.
A small gravelled garden extends along the whitewashed walls of the cottage with outside seating and barbecue. A few metres away is the car parking area with open rural and coastal views.
Despite its secluded location Guinevere has immediate access to all Tintagel's shops, restaurants and pubs. A few minutes walk away lies the South West Coast Path and Tintagel Castle, one of Britain's most famous tourist attractions.
Within walking distance or just a few minutes drive lie the surfing and bathing beaches of Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Haven, and the beautiful St Nectan's Glen and Rocky Valley. Boscastle is just to the north and Port Isaac and Padstow to the south.
