Glenalmar Cottage

Glenalmar is situated on the coast midway between Port William and Glenluce.
The south facing bay window in the lounge catches the sum all day and offers wonderful sea views around the bay and across to the Isle of Man.

The totally enclosed garden is equipped with garden table and chairs as well as loungers. There is plenty of room for car parking and a garden shed for storage of cycles.

The accommodation comprises 3 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 5 people, lounge, kitchen/dining area with patio doors to rear. Utility room. Bathroom with walk in shower, bath , shaver point, electric wall heater.
Central heating is included in the rent from October until April.

The cottage is fully equipped for 5 and facilities include Double electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier.
Duvets, pillows and blankets are all provided.
Bedlinen and towels are not provided but may be hired at an additional cost.
Electricity is payable by meter readings.

Nearby sports include golf, tennis, sailing fishing, pony trekking.
Galloway is renowned for it's wonderful gardens, Castle Kennedy, Logan Botanic, Glenwhan, Ardwell to name but a few.

Also within easy driving is the superb Galloway Forest Park where you can try mountain biking or just a walk. See how many species you can spot.
The Mull of Galloway is an RSPB reserve with a visitor centre. Also at the Mull is a lovely restaurant with superb views - and food!

During the darker nights you can enjoy the stars due to the lack of light polution and there are a couple of observatories who will be delighted to guide you through the constellations.

There are of course many signed walks throughout the area and the cottage is on the bus route if you do not wish to always take the car.

Less than 30 minutes away is the ferry port at Stranraer and there are often organised tours taking in the Giants Causeway or just exploring Belfast.

If you enjoy books then Wigtown, Scotland's National Book town is only a half hour drive and there will be plenty to occupy you for hours.
