The Barn Bridport
The Barn is a beautiful Victorian, beamed cottage situated in the heart of the bustling market town of Bridport, the gateway to the fabulous Jurassic coast, the UK's only world heritage site with it's stunning cliffs and beautiful beaches. The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 guests in two double rooms and is offered either as a B&B or as a self-catering holiday let.
Bridport has a famous twice weekly local produce and antique market, street cafes, restaurants, art venues and the famous Buckydoo Square with its street entertainers, all just a few steps away from the cottage.
The Barn is situated in the heart of Bridport and can offer a peaceful oasis with a sunny cottage garden, whilst also being just footsteps away from the town's many attractions. It has all the charm of a Victorian cottage but with twenty first century amenities, including flat screen freeview TVs and wifi Internet access.
The Barn has a light, airy, beamed open-plan lounge and dining area with a four seater leather sofa and comfy armchair. There is a charming wood-burning stove with a supply of logs. There is freeview TV with DVD and also free wifi Internet access.
The dining area leads to a beautiful archway into the galley kitchen with ceramic sink, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. This leads to the shower room with Mira shower, hand basin and toilet. The entrance to the sunny breakfast patio with table and chairs and views to the garden is also through the kitchen.
Leading from the lounge is the first of the light and airy, sunny double bedrooms with luxurious king-size bed, built in wardrobe, digital TV and radio with double French doors opening onto the garden. Following the open gallery stairs brings you to the second bedroom with huge wardrobe with mirrored sliding doors, luxurious king-size bed and beautiful views to the Dorset hills. The upstairs gallery has bookshelves and leads to the bathroom with shower bath, hand basin and toilet. All bed linen is provided for you although you will need to bring your own towels.
Parking is available at the local car park 100yds away. Permits can be purchased at a reduced price and can be obtained by me or the Tourist Office, which is situated adjacent to the car park. These allow you to use some other car parks in the area free.
