Recently converted 2 bedroomed stone chapel set in the grounds of the owners property in a quiet Nene valley village.
Property consists of double bedroom with king-sized bed, twin bedroom with full sized single beds, bathroom with large shower enclosure, fully fitted kitchen and open plan lounge/dining area. Private fenced patio area with table and chairs and bar-b-que.
Rent includes gas, electricity, linen and towels. Wall mounted electric heaters with thermostats/timers in all rooms.
The cottage is ideal for visiting Stamford and Burghley House (10 minutes) as well as the many attractions of Rutland Water (15 minutes). The surrounding area is one of woods and rolling hills and is popular with walkers and cyclists. A network of footpaths from the village will take you to nearby nature reserves, woods and the Nene Way footpath that passes by the end of the road.
Red kites and buzzards are often seen soaring over the garden and the RSPB have guided walks to see dozens of roosting red kites at nearby Top Lodge reserve. Ospreys are now breeding at Rutland Water following a lengthy reintroduction programme. Visit the hides at the Rutland birdwatching centre at Egleton to stand a good chance of seeing them hunting over the reservoir or watch them feeding their young on the camera trained on a nest.
