Pet friendly holiday accommodation and an ideal place to come and relax and enjoy everything that this part of Wales has to offer.
Sited across a courtyard from the owner but completely private in it's own mature cottage garden, it has a large patio, a great setting to sit out and enjoy the views and have a barbecue.
2 bedrooms, one double and one single plus a comfortable 'put you up' for a 4th person.
Centrally heated plus a wood burning stove and carpeted throughout, it has a very homely feel.
The spacious lounge is fitted with period furniture, 32' digital TV and CD/DVD player, also a gateleg table easily seating 4 persons.
Fully fitted kitchen with double oven and ceramic hob, Microwave, fridge with small freezer box and ironing facilities.
The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower.
Linen and towels are provided, plus the added extras include, hairdryer in each room, binoculars to view the numerous bird life in the garden, off road parking for 2 vehicles and storage for bikes. There is an outside tap for convenience,
A high chair and travel cot are available by prior arrangement.
There are 3 pubs in the local village less than a mile away and the busy town of Chepstow with its independent shops and regular farmers market is only 3miles away.
Historical local attractions include the castles of Chepstow, Raglan and Caldicot. Tintern Abbey, The Roman Camp at Caerleon, World Heritage site of Big Pit National Coal Museum to name but a few.
For sports enthusiasts particularly golfers there are numerous courses within a short drive of the cottage (excuse the pun) including Celtic Manor host to the Ryder Cup 2010. Chepstow Racecourse is just down the road and holds regular meetings. The National Diving Centre is only 10 minutes away, plus there is gliding at Usk. The Forest of Dean is an excellent place to cycle particularly for children and Mountainbikers and there is a whole host of activities for adults and children to enjoy.
We are also blessed with several Michelin star restaurants in Monmouthshire and Abergavenny Food Festival is thought to be one of the best in the UK.
And if that is not enough there is Bristol and Cardiff to tap into, being less that hours drive a way.
And if it should rain then there are Cinemas at Newport and Cribbs Causeway, Bristol and a very old Theatre/Cinema at Monmouth.
You will not be bored.
