Native woodland has been re-established by the Knoydart Forest Trust, a local charity, and they have created some beautiful marked woodland walks and paths where plants and woodlife flourish. A new mountain bike track using natural materials has been created for the more adventurous.

The village is home to The Old Forge, mainland Britain's remotest pub which has won awards and accolades for its seafood, music and real ales.
