Vacation at the foot of the Carmel Mountain, by the sea, with the white beaches of Dor, Nachsholim and Habonim close by. Near the picturesque and interesting town of Zichron Ya-acov.

Travel through time to the ``Nili`` spy ring of World War I, on to the earlier settlement days of the Baron de Rothschild, via the Roman water causeway to Caeserea, B.C. and all the way back to the southernmost remains of Neanderthal man in the Valley of the Caves.

Enjoy the wonderful, wild flowers of spring, summer bathing in the Mediterranean, and all year round trails across the Carmel range, into once-inhabited caves and along the coastal sandstone nature reserve. Then watch the birds migrating into the sunset at Ma`agan Michael (a major pit stop from Africa to Northern Europe).

See (or join) the parachutists free-falling at the local Sky Club, take a diving course and descend to the ancient ship on the ocean floor just off the coast or ride horses at one of several local stables. Or simply laze in the sun.

Later, explore the artist’s village of Ein Hod; shop for souvenirs at the Druze village of Daliat-El-Carmel or browse through the local arts and crafts in the restored town centre of Zichron Yaacov.

Two separate cottages, each with a private porch, two rooms, a fully equipped kitchenette, TV, DVD, Internet connection, air-conditioning, stereo and other mod cons. Nanaim among banana plantations, open fields and olive trees in a country atmosphere. Surrounded by the garden scents of jasmine, za`atar, hadas and twenty-seven other herbs, you can savour the olives and sip the home-brewed tea of Nanaim.
