Windfall Cottage East Prawle self catering holiday cottage
This charming Devon self-catering holiday cottage offers a comfortable stay with sea views and a log burner. The cottage is found at the edge of the village green in East Prawle on the South coast of Devon. Originally built as a fisherman's cottage in the middle of the 19th century, it has been lovingly restored to a high standard - retaining many original features - and has been well equipped as a relaxing and memorable holiday cottage.
Looking out over fields to the sea, the cottage is light and airy during the day and the log burner in the sitting room is ideal for cosy evenings in. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances and a dining area - or eat outside on the patio area and take advantage of a warm evening. Accommodation is provided for up to 8. Larger parties can be accommodated by booking both Windfall and next door Kittiwake cottage together.
The cottage offers easy access to the South Coast - with the sea and a quiet beach being only a short walk away. East Prawle is next to the South West Coastal Path which offers access to secluded sandy coves - only accessible on foot or by boat. The path takes you through a seasonally changing variety of wildlife - the area is home to a large number of species of birds and flowers including the rare Cirl Bunting.
East Prawle is home to an excellent pub - the Pig's Nose - focusing on good food and drink should you wish to eat out. The Pig's Nose frequently hosts live music - promising some excellent nights out. Nearby Salcombe allows year round boat launching and sailing in the estuary or coastal waters. We hope to make this a memorable holiday for you.
