Steddle Stone Cottages

Uffington village is on the A16 2 miles out of Stamford. Our cottages are a further mile out of Uffington on the Greatford Road, situated down a private drive they offer a peaceful, rural setting but are only ten minutes from Tallington Lakes and twenty minutes from Rutland Water.

There are many historic houses and castles within one hours drive, Belvoir Castle, Rockingham Castle, Belton House, Burghley House are all very close, whilst Chatsworth House and Derbyshire peaks are only two hours drive away. The Norfolk coast again is under two hours drive away, its beaches are well known for their vast stretches of sand and are some of the cleanest in Britain.

The Tackroom is our first conversion and has original beams and exposed interior stonework. There is a double and twin bedroom separated by the tiled bathroom - with shower over - and under floor heating in all three rooms. The entrance hall separates the sleeping area from the living quarters, which consist of a cloakroom, airing cupboard, and large kitchen/dining area with a lounge one the far end.

The lounge has French doors leading onto a paved BBQ area, a wood burner is being installed this summer. The kitchen has a cooker, ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and a microwave, and is well equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Bed linen and towels are provided. Whilst pets are welcome we appreciate dogs being kept on the lead once outside the fenced garden. This cottage is on one level and has wheelchair access.

The Workshop has a bedroom and bathroom on the upstairs floor and has stunning views across open countryside. The downstairs bedroom is next to the shower room and is at the far end of the cottage. The downstairs is tiled throughout with under floor heating, there is also a woodburner in the lounge.

The kitchen is wood and granite and is well equipped with all you need for cooking, with a double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, freezer and fridge. There is also a washing machine and upstairs airing cupboard. This garden has a lawned area and plenty of parking spaces and is fenced throughout.
