We have access through our garden to the Waipu River, where there is a park like area to read, watch the abundant bird life, explore the river or walk through the historic cemetery.

Day trips
North West to the Kauri Coast to see Tane Mahuta the biggest Kauri Tree.
North to The Bay of Islands a must for visitors with all its attractions.
South to the marine reserve at Goat Island with its glass bottom boat.
Come back and be self catering or use the BBQ.
Visit Waipu Village and enjoy one of our restaurants and cafes, or why not get Fish and Chips and sit on one of our white sandy beaches and watch the sun go down.
Waipu is a very historic area, with our Scottish history dating to the Rev Norman McLeod landing Waipu in 1853 with 900 followers over a period of time.
First from Scotland then via Nova Scotia. The beaches of Waipu Cove and Langs are on Cove Road on the coast to Mangawhai, a 20 minute drive. We have caffe's art galleries monthly markets and street markets on our long weekends
Mangawhai's Smashed Pipi restaurant / art gallery has NZ made pottery of very unique and stylish designs.
