About Mousehole:
Mousehole is a quaint coastal village with narrow streets, traditional granite cottages and a picturesque harbour. It is located just a short distance from Newlyn and Penzance and is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding towns, villages and countryside or to enjoy walking, watersports, cycling and so on. Mousehole has its own small beach in the harbour and there are many other beautiful beaches to be found only a short drive away, such as at Porthcurno and Marazion.
Places to visit with journey times of between 10 minutes and one hour include The Eden Project, St Michael's Mount, The Minack Theatre, The Tate Gallery St Ives and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
There are various festivals and celebrations throughout the year in Mousehole including the Mousehole Carnival, Sea Salts and Sail (biennial maritime festival), Tom Bawcock’s Eve and the famous Mousehole Christmas Lights (from mid-December until early January).
