Les Hiboux
Les Hiboux consists of a fully restored 18th century farmhouse and three cottages, all with limestone walls and tiled roofs in the Charentaise style. The property is situated in a small tranquil farming hamlet with outstanding views, in rural Poitou-Charentes, 5 km from the market town of Chef Boutonne .
The farmhouse, L’Hibou, accommodates ten guests in four bedrooms on three floors. The first cottage, Le Noisetier, is a newly converted two-storey home, with accommodation for six guests in three bedrooms. Le Noisetier and L’Hibou can be inter-connected via an internal corridor for larger parties. La Vieille Maison was originally a farm building and accommodates six guests in three bedrooms. La Grange sleeps twelve guests in 6 bedrooms, one en-suite bedroom being on the ground floor.
Les Hiboux is owned by a couple with a small child, who know the importance of creating a holiday environment that maximises the enjoyment of both parents and children.
The properties are very well suited to families with the wide range of activities on site, including the use of several bikes in varying sizes, for visitors who wish to explore further afield. The gardens are enclosed and the large pond is fenced and gated. The swimming pool has a self-closing lockable gate and is surrounded by a wall.
Cots, highchairs, stairgates and other equipment for children can be provided on request.
There are games and books provided in all the accommodation and a range of videos or Dvds are also available for guest use.
Crezieres is situated 5km from Chef Boutonne, where there are several restaurants and bars, 2 supermarkets, banks and several other small shops, including 3 bakers who also deliver daily to the hamlet. The weekly Saturday market is held in the main square of Chef Boutonne. Tourist information is also available in the main square.
