Ellwood Cottages

Our cottages are privately owned and managed and provide luxurious self-catering holiday accommodation. We are located in the hamlet of Woolland in the heart of the beautiful North Dorset countryside, a short drive away from Blandford and within easy reach of Weymouth and the stunning Jurassic Coast.

You will be staying in superbly equipped cottages where comfort and relaxation are top priorities. The three tastefully furnished cottages, named after Dorset literary figures, Hardy, Barnes and Blyton, are in a courtyard setting in lovingly restored single storey former farm buildings full of character and charm. Adjacent to the cottages is a heated indoor splash-pool.

There is also a large recreation room with libraries for both children and adults and a selection of games and toys, and a therapy room next door, where visiting therapists offer 'pure-pampering' - and no journey home afterwards! Utter bliss!

Hardy cottage - sleeps three in two bedrooms (all cottages have single beds), Barnes cottage - sleeps four in two bedrooms, and Blyton Cottage, which would be ideal for your family, sleeps four to six, in two bedrooms, both of which are en-suite, one of which is a family room with children's bunk-beds.

Each cottage also has a cosy living/dining room, a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave etc. The shower rooms are 'wet-room' style and there are no steps and only one ramp (in the second bedroom of Blyton Cottage) and everywhere is fully wheelchair accessible.

Outside, the landscaped gardens have a seating area for each cottage, sensory planting and raised beds. The views over farmland towards Bulbarrow Hill and Ibberton Hill are just beautiful and guests will be tempted to remain there for hours.
