Centrally situated, midway between York and the North Yorkshire Moors, this pair of lovely traditional cottages and the stable conversion nestle within the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Peacefully set in a secluded corner, they each have South facing gardens with colourful borders and patio, and enjoy open views over hills and woodland. Perfectly situated for family days out, the cottages offer an ideal base from which to tour the surrounding areas - with plenty to do and see in all directions.

The ancient bustling city of York and the North Yorks Moors National Park , Castle Howard, 'Heartbeat Country' and the Moors Steam Railway are all within 30 minutes' drive A little further afield are the delights of 'Herriot's Dales' and the Yorkshire coast.

This area is richly endowed by delightful English Heritage and National Trust sites, with many castles, abbeys and stately homes to explore. Swimming, horse riding, golf and fishing are all available nearby. Many excellent pubs and restaurants are within an easy drive.

Pets are welcome in all three cottages at a supplement of £15 each by prior arrangement.

Cholmeley and Fairfax
These two traditional farm cottages were originally used by the workers on the old Brandsby Estate and date from the turn of the last century. They enjoy a private and peaceful setting, adjacent to the small pond, fed by a spring, which was originally a 'wagon wash' for the horses and carts. Both cottages have been modernised to a high standard and are surrounded by beautiful private enclosed gardens and each has a South facing patio.

Bonnygate Cottage (two bedrooms, sleeps 4)
A single story detached conversion from the old stables. A real hide-away,it is approached via a path through the courtyard.
It retains many original features with exposed beams throughout and some stone walls with a lovely colourful private garden surrounding the patio.
