The holiday cottages on our farm in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway in south west Scotland offer the most relaxing of self catering holidays. Whatever your interests, from family groups relaxing on holiday together, to outdoor enthusiasts relishing out-of-season activities, you will find so much to enjoy in the peaceful surroundings of Barncrosh. Many of our cottages are ideal for disabled holidays.

The world of Barncrosh begins as you turn onto our farm road, off the A75 Dumfries to Stranraer road.

Relax and simply enjoy our day-to-day outdoor lifestyle. Be as active as you like, with the tennis court, trampoline, children's adventure playground and indoor games room. Fish for trout in our two ponds stocked with brown trout and rainbow trout. These 'extras' are free, in our excellent value-for-money holidays.

Barncrosh is an all-year-round holiday destination. Enjoy an off season holiday and book one of our cosy cottages or flats with an open fire or wood-burning stove. Perfect for a peaceful winter break.

Holiday accommodation on the farm has been developed over the years as we renovated the houses, cottages and the old farm steading. We now offer a wide choice of styles and sizes of self catering holiday accommodation. All properties are refurbished annually to ensure that our high standards are maintained.

The Steading Courtyard offers a choice of well-furnished, self catering properties, all with colour TV/DVD. Centrally situated, these holiday flats and cottages are most convenient for all the facilities at Barncrosh, and are excellent value for money.

The Granny Flat - sleeps 4
With good-sized rooms, this charming, two-storey wing of our own traditional Galloway farmhouse sleeps 4.

Tom's Cottage - sleeps 8
Tom's Cottage combines modern comfort with splendid views. All on the ground floor.

Screel - sleeps 11
Spacious and well equipped, Screel enjoys glorious views of the surrounding countryside. Disabled-friendly.

The Barn - sleeps 2/3
The ground-floor Barn has a sitting room with pull-down single bed and a twin-bedded room with en-suite bathroom.

The Corn Mill - sleeps 7
This recently-converted courtyard cottage is centrally heated throughout. The ground floor has a spacious living room with wood-burning stove and patio windows, a twin bedroom, and shower room with WC, suitable for disabled visitors. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms - single, twin and double - and a bathroom.

The Calf House - sleeps 9
All on one floor, the Calf House is centrally-heated throughout. The large living room has patio doors and a wood-burning stove. The entrance hall gives access to the fully-fitted kitchen, bathroom, separate shower room, twin bedroom, two double bedrooms and a large room with three single beds. Ideal for disabled visitors.

The Loft - sleeps 3
Enjoy lovely views from the first-floor Loft. Accommodation comprises living room with pull-down double bed, single bedroom and bathroom with shower.

The Bothy - sleeps 2
On the first floor, with pleasant views, the Bothy has a charming living room (with pull-down double bed), a bathroom and shower.

The Bullpen - sleeps 2/3
The ground-floor Bullpen comprises a living room with pull-down single bed, double bedroom and bathroom.

The Stable - sleeps 4
The Stable provides ground-floor accommodation, with living room (with pull-down double bed), twin-bunk bedroom and bathroom with shower.

The Byre - sleeps 2/3
The Byre is on the ground floor, with twin bedroom, large living room (with double bed-settee) and bathroom.

The Dovecote - sleeps 2/3
The stylish, upstairs studio flat is open-plan with a balcony.

The Granary - sleeps 4
The first-floor Granary has a sunny sitting room with pull-down single bed, twin bedroom, double bedroom and bathroom (with bath).

We are always pleased to welcome visitors with disabilities or problems of mobility.

Three of our properties - Screel, the Corn Mill and the Calf House - provide accommodation with 'assisted wheelchair access' (category 2 in the VisitScotland assessment scheme). Each property has been designed with careful attention to detail for your comfort and convenience.

With their wide doorways, the ground-floor Byre and Bullpen also provide easy, level access for people with mobility difficulties.

You can drive right to the door of all five of these cottages.
