Beiras is the name of the region running south of the Douro river and north of the Tagus river. This region of Portugal is an area of contrasts, both ancient and modern with villages perched on mountain outcrops and endlessly appealing views of terraced olive groves and cool forest streams.

We are situated in the Parish of Pombeiro da Beira in the Arganil District. We are 7km from Arganil which is a 2 hour drive from Porto and approximately 3 hours from Lisbon.

The nearest café and shop is less than 2 miles away in Sarnadela; there is a Post Office less than 2 miles away in Pombeiro da Beira. The nearest supermarkets are in Arganil which is a 15 minutes drive from Roda - Intermarche and Lidl are the main supermarkets but there are also many cafes, restaurants and small shops including take away pizza, etc.
